Sheridan County School District 1 Recreation Board met April 30 to approve funding for after-graduation activities, Future Business Leaders of America trips and more. The board decided to table the request for Big Horn High School’s Robo Kreps basketball camp.
Raptor nesting activity in Tensleep Canyon is prompting a voluntary closure of some climbing routes. The nest sites will be monitored throughout the summer and the affected areas are closed effective immediately through Aug. 15. Â
The Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust has granted $260,199 to One Health to purchase point-of-care ultrasound machines as part of a statewide ultrasound initiative across Wyoming. The initiative includes nearly $13.9 million to help Wyoming hospitals and health centers purchase ultrasound imaging devices and boost sonography and point-of-care ultrasound training opportunities across the state.
The Sheridan Lady Broncs battled on the pitch against the Laramie Lady Plainsmen Friday at Homer Scott Field. At the end of the tough 80-minute matchup, Laramie beat Sheridan 2-1.
The Sheridan Mavericks celebrated their seniors as the team played in the second to last home game of the season Friday night against Cody. After three quick Cody goals in the first half the Mavericks had to comeback in the 5-3 loss.Â
